I am taking a Publication Design and Production class and we are working on a project creating a Photobook using the program InDesign. Last week we created a rough draft cover for our Photobook. This week we focused on the importance of wireframes and inputting them in the Photobook. We learned about the importance of color modes and knowing the difference between them. RGB is used for screen and CMYK is used for print. When using type in a design it is important to lay out the spacing wisely. My professor related it to being surrounded by people and feeling crowded. It is important to let type breathe. Another major factor to consider in any design is your color pallet. The color pallet used may vary depending on the design style. A good rule of thumb to use is the 60/30/10 rule.
