Design Thinking & Mood Boards
There is a beginning process to every design. A great designer begins the process by doing research and asking the right questions to ensure the client gets what they need. When it comes to design thinking there are 5 parts to consider helping the process:
1. Empathize and get to know the audience and any challenges.
2. Define looking depth into the issue and resolving it
3. Ideate and coming up with unique ideas to the solution
4.Prototype creating your solution
5. Test putting your Prototype out to get feedback.
Another great method to do is brainstorm your ideas prior to acting. It is important to brainstorm and listen to client needs because they have chosen you to design a representation of their company. A means to assist with the process is creating a mood board to give a feeling and understanding of the design. A great source to use is Pinterest or creating your own board by including pictures of the colors, logo, or typeface. Once you present your board you are given the opportunity to receive feedback on the design. Criticism is a major factor that is important although we may not always like. It has its pros and cons, but you need to look at it in the perspective where it will better you overall as a designer.
In Conclusion, design thinking is a process that will help deliver exactly what your client is looking for if you follow the right methods. It will not only help you become a better designer overall but will help you save time from rejection.
